Dr Xie attended 2026 Organoids and Organs-on-Chips Conference & Organ Intelligent Manufacturing and Translational Medicine Conference in Shenzhen, organised by Prof. Qiongling Liang (Tsinghua University). The conference provided great insights into the latest developments of the field. It was also fantastic to reunite with colleagues and alumni from the Liang groups!

We are excited to have been awarded two Impact Accelerator Accounts (IAA) grants! In one project, funded by the EPSRC/MRC IAA, we will collaborate with Prof. Dharani Hapangama (Liverpool Women's University Hospital) and Dr. Bettina Wilm (UoL) to develop an endometriosis model. The other project, funded by the BBSRC IAA, will focus on developing a high-throughput skin model.

Dr. Xie attended the TERMIS World Congress 2024 (Seattle, USA) as a co-chair for the session "Biomaterials for Controlled Delivery of Therapeutics" and a speaker for the session "Emerging Biofabrication Technologies". It was an inspiring journey and also a wonderful opportunity to catch up and reunite with members and alumni from the Stevens Group and the Radisic Group!
